While I am on social media, it’s more for photography, writing, and fandom purposes than live-blogging my life. My posts are occasional, but follow me if you are interested. You can find me on Instagram @a_BrokenWing where I post some of my photos.

I also have photos on Flickr now that I’ve recently rejoined after a long absence post Yahoo breakup. My old account seems to be gone, probably purged in the moves as it was inactive. So, I’ve started afresh. look me up on Flicker @ a_BrokenWing to see what I’m clicking at these days.

I’m also on Threads @a_BrokenWing. So far Threads seems to have far less yelling than X. So I’ll try it for a while. I will be curious to see if it can avoid the enshittification of other social media platforms.

I am also on BlueSky.social now @abrokenwing.bsky.social and am curious to see how it goes. It does remind me of the old days of twitter with piles of cat pictures and memes. I’m appreciating the chill.

I used to be active on Medium, but gave up. The signal-to-noise ratio just got too low to spend my limited attention on it. Over time it seemed to fill with SEO laden pieces exclusively about how to make money on Medium. It was a good idea that just stopped working for me.

I have always considered X (formerly Twitter) akin to living permanently in middle school on a worldwide social media stage. But now I’ve finally left it completely behind given the descent into a shouting, post-truth, conspiracy laden, hateful madness.
